Jennis Toney-Carpenter is a fourth generation Funeral Director. She is the President of the funeral homes established by her father, the late William T. Toney Sr. A graduate of the former Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College), she is responsible for the day to day operation of the business. Licensed in 1983, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the industry.

In addition to being President of the Corporation, she is an active member of the community. Jennis is a member of Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount, The North Carolina Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of North Carolina, and the Coretta Scott King Chapter #655 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is married to Frank N. Carpenter, Jr. and has a daughter, Jesslyn and a stepdaughter, Joi.
