Mr. James Edward Lucas

Mr. James Edward Lucas of Spring Hope departed this life on July 11, 2018.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Stephen Baptist Church, Spring Hope.  Interment will follow at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.

A visitation will be held from 3-6PM, Friday, July 13, 2018 at William Toney's Funeral Home, Spring Hope.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his wife, Luevenia W. Lucas of the home; children: Cordelia Lucas-Sherrod (Timothy) of Rocky Mount, NC and E. Jerrold Lucas of Bailey, NC; grandchild,  Isaiah Lucas Sherrod of Rocky Mount, NC; brother, Rev. William H. Lucas (Joan) of Smithfield, NC; sisters-in-law,  Effie Lucas of Knightdale, NC, Brenda Lucas of Spring Hope, NC, and Wilma Williams of Louisburg, NC; nephews,  William H. Lucas II (Rita) of Charlotte, NC, Rev. Timothy Lucas (Linda) of Cary, NC, Rev. Brandan Lucas (Antionette) of Rocky Mount, NC, and Kevin Lucas (Charlotte) of Knightdale, NC; niece, Bridget Woodard of Spring Hope, NC;  a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
