Mrs. Willie Mae Merritt

Mrs. Willie Mae Merritt, age 82 of Wendell, departed this earthly life on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018  at  2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wendell. Burial, Church Cemetery. A wake will be held on Tuesday night from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Church.

She is survived by:her husband, Leo Merritt, Sr.; her children, Linda Merritt-Ellis, Leo Merritt, Jr, Lisa Montague(Joe) and LaVonne Merritt all of Wendell, Pastor Lenora Dawson (Thad) of Zebulon; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Williams and Annette Boykin of Zebulon; sister-in-law, Geraldine Williams (Harold); brother-in-law, Alexander Teasley; God-daughter, Bernice Welcher; extended family, Jackie Merritt, Sammie Ellis, Kenneth Hall, Danny Richardson and Dennis Evans; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
