Mr. James Oliver Alexander Kent, age 55 of Nashville, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM, Friday, August 4, 2023 at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope. Interment will follow at Meeks Cemetery, Spring Hope.
A viewing will be held from 3:00PM - 7:00PM, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope.
Memories of James will forever be cherished by: his mother, Pecala Davis (Jerry); father, James Oliver Lee (Minnie); grandmother, Naomi Kent; children: Dustin Wheeless, LaQuanda Kent, Stephon Savage, and Xavier Iszard; three grandchildren, Jaylen and Zavion Wheless and Jamarion Savage; eight siblings: Andre’ Kent (Taff), Connie Bell (Orsino), NaKiaha Lee, Saya Joyner, Shonda Arrington, Jarrod Lee, Angela Tucker, and Vanessa Lee; two uncles, Donnie Harris and Robert Harris; eleven aunts, Hattie Roger, Charlene Stone, Brenda Baker, Phyllis Williams, Apostle Shelby K. Dunston, Terease Pretlow, Prophetess Brenda Kent, Shirley Morgan, Carolyn Harris, Cynthia Kent, and Dr. LeVonder “Pheon” Brinkley; Morace “Bud” Cooke (more like a brother than a cousin); and a host of cousins, and many, many friends.
