Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Sandy Fork Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Brandan Lucas, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Winstead Family Cemetery, Elm City, NC. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM-1:00PM prior to services at the church.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Jeffery-Bryant (Ahmed) of Chaptico, MD, Kenneth Powell and Kathy Powell of Washington, DC, Kelvin Jeffery of Greenville, NC, Kevin Saunders of Washington, DC and Melvin Jeffery, Sr. of Rocky Mount, NC; (One son preceded him in death: Stevie R. L. Jeffery, Sr.) one sister, Lessie J. Daniels of Wheaton, MD, (He was also preceded in death by: one sister, Viola Powell Randolph and one brother, George Powell) 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A Service of Love and Dignity is provided by William Toney's Funeral Home, Spring Hope.
