Mrs. Anne Hicks Mitchell Obituary
Anne Hicks-Mitchell was born September 18, 1949, in Raleigh, NC to the late James Nathaniel Hicks and Gwendolyn Laverne Glover. She was also preceded in eternal rest by brothers, Nathaniel Hicks and Julius Harris and by sisters, Virgie Haire, Hazelene Harris, and Theresa McCallum.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband Charles Mitchell, three sisters and one brother: Lillian Hicks-Freeman (Wendell, NC), Carolyn Moore (Goldsboro, NC), Margrette Kersey (Durham, NC), and Charles Hicks (Oxford, NC); two sons: James E. Gardner, Jr. (Stacy) of Denton, MD and William H. Gardner of Raleigh, NC; three stepchildren: Charles Mitchell of Woodbridge, VA, Bradley Mitchell (Judy) of Atlanta, Ga, Cynthia Mitchell of Wendell, NC; six grandchildren: Torin, Christian, Jeremiah, Shekinah, David, and Bryson Gardner; one step-grandchild, Elise Mitchell; one great-grandchild, Andria Rascoe and a special daughter in love, Kimberley McNeil.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at New Bethel Christian Church, Raleigh.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM prior to the service.
