Mrs. Irene Stokes Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Perry's Missionary Baptist Church in Centerville, NC. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 AM prior to services.
She began a long-life journey with her loving husband, Wilbert Stokes of 37 years until God called him to eternal rest. Cherished memories of her will live in the heart of her only child: Otis Wilbert Stokes (Pete) and his wife, Edith; grandchildren: Bridgette Stokes, Atiya Jaha-Rashidi, Damon Morris (Vernel), Aneasha Plush (Tony); great grandchildren, Nastassia, Asada, Sekou, Bakari, Dejau, Dante, Renee, SheVonna, Cheyenne, Desiree, Devon; great-great grandson Xavier; one sister-in-law, Emma Stokes and a host of relatives and friend; a special acknowledgment to her loving nieces and nephew Vickie, Barbara and Elbert Jr. who graciously provided total care for her during her last years of life.
