Mrs. Katie Lucas Obituary
Katie Ruth Jones Lucas, was born March 27, 1935 in Nash County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Johnny Levi Jones and Minnie Battle Jones. She passed away July 9, 2020.
As a young adult she united in holy matrimony to the late Theodore Lucas Sr. and relocated to Newark, New Jersey. In this union four children were born.
Three children and one great-grand child preceded her in death, Barbara Scott; Theodore “Booster” Lucas; and Choice Lucas; and her great-grand child, Emanuel.
She leaves to preserve her legacy one son Gregory (Evelyn) of Frederick Maryland, 9 grandchildren, Tiffany, Theodore, Maurice, Phyletha, Shalonda, Warren Jr, Shakira, Maishe’da and Lakourdjai. 21 great grandchildren; 22 great great grandchildren; one brother, George Jones (Uzelia) of Spring Hope North Carolina; 6 brothers-in-law; 5 sisters -in-law and a host of special nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Middlesex Memorial Gardens in Middlesex. A vistiation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 5-7 PM at William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope.
