Mrs. Mona Lisa Battle

Mrs. Mona Lisa Battle, age 57, departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

She is survived by: her husband, Thomas Battle; her son, Thomas Battle, Jr. of the home; (one son, Craig Battle preceded her in death); her mother, Mrs. Gwendolyn Freeman of Castalia; three grandchildren, Octavius Lynch, Kevelle Battle and Kamille Battle; siblings, Gloria Battle of Maryland, Kenneth Battle (Cynthia) of Hollister, Stephanie Lynch of Rocky Mount, Dwight Battle (Cookie) of Louisburg, George Battle (Glenda) of Greenville, Christoper Freeman (Sondra), Jeffrey Freeman, and Stachia Evans all of Castalia; (she was preceded in death by a brother Ricky Battle); a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Castalia Baptist Church. 9563 Main Street, Castalia with Pastor Carlyle Hall, officiating. Interment will conclude in the Mitchell Harris Cemetery in Castalia. Visitation will be held from 11-12 PM prior to services.
