Ms. Diane Battle, age 81 of Nashville, departed this earthly life on Friday, August 25, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Bunn Chapel Baptist Church, Nashville. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville.
A viewing will be held from 3:00PM - 7:00PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at William Toney's Funeral Home, Spring Hope.
She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Rita Holden of Nashville, NC, Samuel Battle (Audrey) of Rocky Mount, NC, Stanley Battle (Joyce) of Nashville, NC, Katrina Holden (Patrick) of Wendell, NC, Pamela Avent (Dwight) of Nashville, NC, and one grandson whom she raised as her own, Donnie Battle (Kita) also of Nashville, NC; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren (including one special great-grandchild, Sariah “Sweet Pea”, who was the apple of her eye); one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Barbara Braxton of Newport News, VA; one niece, Tishawna Parker of VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
