Ms. EuGenia Miranda Horton

Ms. EuGenia Miranda Horton, age 64 of Raleigh, North Carolina, departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00PM at First Congregational Church, 2410 Creech Road, Raleigh, NC. 

She is survived by: her daughters, Chanda Holder (Mike) of Graner and Beverly Kornegay of Raleigh; five sisters, Jacqueline McCray (Anthony) of Raleigh, Veronica Smith of MD, Rita Oye and Sandy O'Neal (John) of Raleigh and Pamela Ward of Cary; four brothers, Jacob Horton, Jr. (Tina) of Detroit, MI, Fitzgerald Horton of NJ, Sam Ward (Keyona) of Rocky Mount and Michael Ward of NC.  She was preceded in death by her father, Jacob Horton, Sr., grandfather, Fred Horton and grandmother, Gladys C. Horton, her paternal aunts who helped raise her, Matrice Bullock, Erdyne Yates and Christine Thorpe; two sisters, Helen Lyons and Shelia Hudson and one brother, Willie Ward.

Her cherished grandchildren are: Mykaila Holder of Clayton, Michael and Madisyn Holder of Garner, Koree, Avant and Kassidy Kornegay of Raleigh; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
