Pastor Shirley Louise Demby

Pastor Shirley L. Demby, age 79 of Wendell, departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at William Toney's Funeral Home, Zebulon.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Wendell.

A viewing will be held from 9:00AM - 11:00AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her daughter, Delisa Fairley of Wendell, NC; her son, Vaughn Demby (special friend Norma) of Bunn, NC; brother, Ernest Yorker of Garner, NC; sister, Diane Jenkins (Charles) of Preston, MD; aunts, Thelma Ford of Queenstown, MD and Ernestine Cooper of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren: Nadine, Marcel(Krin), Cearea, Terence (Tia), Christian, Vonte, and Zoe; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives, spiritual children, spiritual grandchildren and friends. Her beloved husband, William and daughter, Teresa preceded her in death.
