Larry Taylor serves as a funeral associate with William Toney’s Funeral Home. He has been a lifelong resident of Nash County, and has resided in Nashville since 1975. After the military, he earned an Associated Degree in Business and in Criminal Justice. Mr. Taylor has also served on the Nashville Police Department as an auxiliary officer for 25 years, Nashville Fire Department for 21 years as a Captain, and the United States Postal Service before retiring after 31 years as a postmaster. Larry most recently retired from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office after serving in the patrol, civil, and detective divisions as well as working on the Franklin County Sheriff's Office as courtroom security. Being a man fully involved in the community, Larry has served as a board member with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and has held the position as Vice President while serving. He is currently serving his second term as a member of the Nashville Town Council. Larry is a proud member and Trustee at the Social Union Baptist Church in Nashville. He is happily married to his wife Netha for 46 years, together they have 2 sons Arnez and Antwan, and one grandson Octavius. Since retiring in January, Larry has been able to enjoy some of his hobbies which are traveling to the Midwest on his RV and his Harley Davidson motorcycle
